What Is A FIBC?
FIBC stands for Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container, but they are more commonly referred to as bulk bags, and have a body made of a flexible, woven material.
Typically made from polypropylene, bulk bags are mechanically handled from their permanent top loops or sleeves via forklift, cranes, or hoists when filled.
Used in many industry applications, bulk bags are intended to ship solid materials, do not require any additional packaging, and have the capacity to hold 1,000 to 4,000 pounds.

Four Basic Design Options

- Type A – does not dissipate static electricity.
- Type B – is made from materials that have a low break down voltage and can sustain voltage of up to 6Kv.
- Type C – conductive bag will contain conductive threads in a grid pattern and must be grounded.
- Type D – bag dissipates static using dissipative fibers and there is no need for grounding.
